Young people, employers and other stakeholders will come together across Niš and Belgrade to explore how AI is changing pathways into employment and the skills young people need for the future.
PATHFINDER’s AI START: Youth, Artificial Intelligence and the Pathways to Employment activities will bring the conversation on AI and youth employment to Niš and Belgrade on 8, 17 and 20 July 2026.
Organised by Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS), the activities will bring together young people, employers, job information centres, civil society organisations, AI experts and other stakeholders to explore how artificial intelligence is changing pathways into employment. Particular attention will be given to the experiences of young people from rural areas and marginalised groups.
Through presentations, practical activities, group work, dialogue with employers and World Café discussions, participants will examine how AI is affecting employment preparation, skills and young people’s transition into work. A dedicated focus group during International Student Week in Belgrade will broaden the conversation by bringing in additional perspectives from young people with diverse backgrounds.
The activities will contribute to Serbia’s Research Agenda and Action Plan, helping identify priorities for supporting young people as they navigate an increasingly AI-influenced labour market.
