On 18 June 2026, PATHFINDER held its Greek national participatory dialogue, “Artificial Intelligence: Opportunity or Risk for Young People in the Modern Labour Market?”. The event was co-organised by CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, and Light Trees, with the support of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

Students, job seekers, employers, HR professionals and AI specialists worked through the findings of the national baseline survey, which showed that most young people use AI daily but few feel prepared for an AI-driven labour market. Through a World Café and collective prioritisation, participants agreed that** using AI is not the same as understanding it**, that access to AI learning remains uneven, and that preparing young people is a shared responsibility of education, employers and policymakers.

These priorities shaped the Greek Research Agenda and Action Plan, which proposes three main actions: stronger cooperation between education and the labour market, more inclusive AI learning opportunities, and sustained multi-stakeholder dialogue.
