On 3 July 2026, PATHFINDER held its Slovak national participatory dialogue, “AI and the Future of Work – A Youth Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence and Employment in Slovakia”, in Trnava. Organised by Európsky dialóg (ED), the event brought together 33 young people, employers and working professionals.

Participants explored four key themes: AI and the changing workplace, skills for the AI era, young people at risk of being left behind, and gaps in education and training. The discussions highlighted that preparing young people for an AI-driven labour market requires more than technical knowledge. Human-centred skills, practical experience and stronger connections between education and the workplace were also identified as important priorities.

These discussions shaped the Slovak Research Agenda and Action Plan, which focuses on strengthening AI literacy and human-centred skills, connecting education more closely with real-world work, and widening opportunities for young people at greater risk of exclusion.
