D4.1 – Participatory Research, Research Agenda and Action Plan for Slovakia
Discover key insights from Slovakia on AI, the future of work, emerging skills needs and the challenges young people face in an evolving labour market.
On 3 July 2026, Európsky dialóg (ED), within the PATHFINDER project, delivered the Slovak National Participatory Event “AI and the Future of Work – A Youth Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence and Employment in Slovakia” in Trnava, bringing together 33 young people, employers and working professionals from five European countries.
The event created a** participatory space** to examine how AI is reshaping access to employment, the skills demanded by the labour market and which young people risk being left behind. Building on the baseline survey, the dialogue enabled participants to collectively interpret the findings and connect them with their own experiences.
Through a World Café, participants explored four key themes: AI and the Changing Workplace, Skills for the AI Era, Youth at Risk of Being Left Behind, and Education and Training Gaps. Root-cause discussion, prioritisation and collective reflection were then used to identify and validate key priorities.
The findings informed the Research Agenda and Action Plan for Slovakia, identifying priorities for strengthening AI literacy and human-centred skills, improving connections between education and real work experience, and widening opportunities for young people at risk of exclusion.
