D1.1 – Participatory Research, Research Agenda and Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina

Explore key findings and priorities from Bosnia and Herzegovina on AI, youth employment and the skills needed for an inclusive future of work.

On 25 June 2026, the PATHFINDER project delivered the national participatory event “AI and the Future of Work – A Dialogue Between Young People and Employers in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in Sarajevo, bringing together young people, employers, public institutions, civil society organisations, education providers and other labour market stakeholders.

The event created a participatory space to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with AI-driven labour market transformation and to strengthen dialogue between young people and key actors involved in employment, education and policymaking.

Building on the national baseline survey, participants worked together through collaborative discussions, problem tree analysis and participatory prioritisation to identify key challenges and priorities for future research and action. The process positioned young people as active contributors to the interpretation of evidence and the co-creation of recommendations.

The findings informed the Research Agenda and Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting priorities around education and skills, young people’s transition from education to employment, and more coordinated, inclusive and responsible approaches to AI.
