D2.1 – Participatory Research, Research Agenda and Action Plan for Greece

Discover how young people and labour market stakeholders in Greece view the opportunities, challenges and skills needs emerging from AI-driven changes in employment.

On 18 June 2026, The University of York Europe Campus, CITY U.L.E and Light Trees, within the PATHFINDER project, delivered the Greek National Participatory Event “Artificial Intelligence: Opportunity or Risk for Young People in the Modern Labour Market?” in Thessaloniki, bringing together young people, employers, HR professionals, AI professionals and other labour market stakeholders.

The event created a participatory space to explore how AI is transforming employment, skills development and young people’s transition into the labour market. Building on the national baseline survey, participants contributed to interpreting the evidence, sharing experiences and identifying priorities for future action.

Through a World Café, Root Cause Analysis, participatory voting and collective reflection, participants explored AI and changing workplaces, skills for the AI era, risks of exclusion, and education and training gaps and needs.

The findings informed the Research Agenda and Action Plan for Greece, identifying priorities to strengthen preparedness for AI-driven labour market transitions, expand inclusive AI learning opportunities, reinforce cooperation between education and the labour market, and sustain multi-stakeholder dialogue on AI and youth employment.
